Shape of Dreams Nachia Build: Summons, Healing and Unlocks

Nachia fights through summons, and Moonlight Pact gives her a strong route built around Fenrir's attacks, healing, and Barriers. Combine it with Nature's Whisper and Pact of Destiny so that keeping Fenrir active also helps keep Nachia alive.

Start with Sylvan Call while working toward the alternate Memory unlocks. The key is summon uptime: a stronger companion is useful only while it can reach enemies and keep the healing loop running.

Unlock the pieces in order

UnlockRequirementWhat to use before it is ready
NachiaDefeat Belphomet, the Demon of the Forest, 20 times in total.Continue runs with an available Traveler. Belphomet is the first-zone boss.
Moonlight PactEnter the Pure White Dream twice as Nachia.Use Sylvan Call with Nature's Whisper.
Circle of LifeAs Nachia, defeat a Guardian of Impermanence in Whispering Lotus Plateau without taking damage.Keep your starting Identity Memory.
Nature's WhisperAvailable by default.Use it immediately to support your summons.

Nachia's 20 Belphomet victories are accumulated progression; they do not need to happen in one run. Moonlight Pact's two Pure White Dream entries can be completed on any difficulty, including online co-op.

Circle of Life is a separate no-damage boss challenge. You do not need it simply to select Nachia or start using the summon-buff loop.

Leaf Hounds or Fenrir?

Sylvan Call creates temporary Leaf Hounds. The pack benefits from early Memory upgrades and regular resummoning because its members do not stay indefinitely. In v1.4, Leaf Hounds start with 30 armor, and the initial summon hit deals 200% Ability Power damage, up from 20 armor and 130% Ability Power.

Moonlight Pact gives you Fenrir as a permanent companion. If he dies, he revives automatically after about six seconds. That makes him easier to maintain over a long fight, but Nachia still needs to survive the gap while he is gone.

The base Moonlight Pact activation makes Fenrir leap to a target area, stun enemies for half a second, and heal himself for 8% of his maximum health. It has an 11-second cooldown, reduced by one second each time Fenrir attacks. Faster attacks therefore help both his damage and how often you can activate his heal.

Death Waltz adds a charge and replaces the leap with a spinning attack. You gain more opportunities to use the activation, but lose the leap's ability to close distance. Nature's Whisper and Fetch! help compensate when enemies move away.

What Circle of Life adds

Circle of Life starts by sharing 50% of Nachia's bonus attack speed, movement speed, and armor with her summons. For example, a 30% attack-speed bonus on Nachia gives them 15% through this effect. Levels improve the share.

Her basic attacks also heal summons for 3% of their maximum health and extend their duration by 0.3 seconds. The duration extension matters for temporary Leaf Hounds. Fenrir is already permanent, so safe basic attacks mainly help keep him healthy.

Make Fenrir's healing protect Nachia

Build these pieces together rather than treating the summon as a damage skill on its own:

Circle of Life, when unlockedAttack-speed, movement, and armor investmentShares useful bonuses with summons and lets your basics heal them.
Pact of DestinyMoonlight Pact activationGives Nachia 50% of the activation's healing.

Pact of Destiny is the connection that lets Fenrir's activation healing protect Nachia. Guidance improves healing and turns overhealing into a short Barrier. Clemency adds damage-based healing, helping keep that process active between Moonlight Pact activations.

The baseline Guidance setup uses 40% increased healing and converts 30% of overhealing into a two-second Barrier. Upgrading it improves the healing bonus, while the conversion percentage stays the same. The short duration matters: a large Barrier during constant attacking does not mean you remain protected through a long pause.

Nature's Whisper increases attack speed for both Nachia and her summons. More Fenrir attacks reduce Moonlight Pact's cooldown more often, giving you more chances to use the activation and its healing. Fetch! also adds movement speed equal to 80% of the attack-speed buff, helping Fenrir stay in contact with moving targets and helping Nachia leave dangerous ground effects.

Put Efficiency on Nature's Whisper to reduce buff downtime, and use Wind to gain attack speed from repeated casts. Nachia's personal basic-attack damage is not the focus; her attack-speed bonuses still matter because Circle of Life passes part of them to the summon.

Divine Faith is a useful scaling addition. Kills build damage, healing, and maximum-health benefits, and upgrading the Essence raises its stack cap. Check that cap as the run continues so you are not wasting further kills at a full limit. Starting with it through Déjà Vu is an option only when your account already has it available there.

You can play this setup without Predation or the WILD modifier. Neither is required to establish the healing-and-Barrier core.

Upgrade for the problem in front of you

Alternate upgrades between Moonlight Pact and Nature's Whisper toward levels 8–10 as a working target. This gives Fenrir sturdiness while improving the attack speed that keeps him active.

If he is dying repeatedly before you reach that point, strengthen Moonlight Pact toward about level seven first, then return to Nature's Whisper. A larger attack-speed buff does little when the summon cannot stay alive long enough to use it.

Once the two Memories are comfortable, alternate between Circle of Life and your key Essence qualities. Keep Guidance, Clemency, and Wind growing rather than putting every upgrade into the summon Memory forever.

For Chaos rewards, prioritize these needs:

  • Memory Haste: aim for roughly 70–90 as a starting target for more frequent activations and better buff uptime.
  • Ability Power: improves summon damage and supports useful healing or Barrier Memories.
  • Memory levels and Essence quality: strengthen the pieces already doing the work.
  • Attack speed: gains extra value once Circle of Life shares it with your summons.
  • Maximum health: move this up the list when you cannot survive the gaps in protection.

Nachia's own Attack Damage is a low priority for this route.

Stars that support the loop

Prioritize Pact of Destiny, Death Waltz, and Fetch! for their different jobs: sharing healing, improving the activation, and maintaining contact with enemies.

Enhanced Ferocity supports summon attack speed, while Gentle Breeze adds Memory Haste. Steadfast Bond rewards staying near your summons with defensive support. Second Wind offers protection from a fatal mistake, and Regenerative Skin improves healing and Barriers.

Black Market and Monstrous Charm improve your shopping opportunities when you still need a core Essence. Bestow Willpower helps protect buffed allies from interruption; under v1.4, its buff lasts 70% longer when the target is a summon.

Useful substitutes before the complete setup

If you are still using Sylvan Call, invest in it early. Rigidity is a useful one-slot on-hit Barrier option for the Hounds, and Essence of Accuracy can add projectiles when you maintain enough distance from the target. This is a pack-focused alternative, not an identical replacement for Fenrir's Pact of Destiny healing.

When Clemency or Guidance is missing, keep any useful healing and Barrier support you find. Love can add movement and attack-speed support when Moonlight Pact heals Fenrir. Ricochet can help healing reach another nearby ally, while Virtue adds charges and Momentum helps reduce cooldown through basic attacks.

For your remaining Memories, choose tools that cover the current weakness:

NeedUseful Memory
An accessible attack-speed buffBattle Cry
A brief group BarrierMass Protection
More attack speed and attack effects laterArrow Storm
Additional party healingPurgatory or a healing beam
An escape while Fenrir is separated or deadA movement Memory such as Blink

On Nightmare, give reliable Barrier support extra weight because healing is reduced. Permafrost can serve as emergency defense, but its v1.4 limits matter: repeated casts of the same Memory do not stack its shields, and that Memory's armor bonus stacks only three times.

Fight behind the summon without losing control

Let Fenrir reach the enemy, refresh Nature's Whisper, then activate Moonlight Pact when you need its attack or healing. Contribute safe basic attacks to heal him through Circle of Life, but do not trade your own safety for every possible hit.

Stay close enough to benefit from nearby summon-support effects while moving away from dangerous ground attacks. With Death Waltz equipped, Fenrir cannot use the replaced leap to correct every positioning problem, so movement speed and target access remain important.

If he dies or cannot reach the boss, dodge and use your separate defensive Memory until he returns or reconnects. That is the moment when a spare Barrier or movement tool earns its slot. Standing in damaging ground effects to force automatic casts is a poor default plan when your main source of sustain is unavailable.

In co-op, retain party shields, healing, or buffs where they help the group. Keeping your summon healthy supports the team, but it does not make every ally safe from the next boss attack.
