Shape of Dreams Platforms: PC and Console Support
Shape of Dreams is available on PC through Steam and Xbox on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Xbox Cloud Gaming provides a streamed option too. The console versions launched on September 17, 2026, with solo play and online co-op for up to four players.
Choose the edition for your device first, then check the online requirements if you plan to join friends. A cloud or Remote Play option is a way to access a game remotely; it is not a separate native release for every device that can display it.

PC: Steam and Xbox on PC
The Steam edition is the full game under App 2444750. Use the following Windows requirements when comparing your PC with that edition:

A 64-bit processor and operating system are required. These are hardware requirements, not measured frame-rate targets.
The Steam version has full controller support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Its Steam Deck compatibility category is Playable. That category is distinct from Verified and does not specify a performance target here.
Xbox on PC is a separate storefront option, with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Do not assume that buying the Steam edition grants an Xbox console copy or transfers a Steam save into the Xbox ecosystem. An Xbox controller working with Steam is controller support, not an Xbox edition entitlement.
For a PC group, plan around online co-op. Local co-op and mixed local/online co-op are listed as unsupported for the PC version. This PC-specific limitation should not be used to infer an unlisted same-console player count on another platform.
PlayStation 5 support and online requirements
The PS5 edition supports one local player and up to four online players. Online play is optional, so you can choose the single-player mode; joining an online group requires PlayStation Plus.
Remote Play is supported. The UK storefront also offers PS5 and PS Portal cloud streaming with a Premium subscription, subject to eligible accounts and regions. Check your local account's availability before choosing a subscription for that access method.
Remote Play and cloud streaming provide access to the PS5 game. They do not establish a native PS4 or mobile edition.
Xbox Series X|S, Xbox PC, and cloud access
The Xbox edition supports PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It also carries a handheld listing, but that does not identify every handheld device or guarantee compatibility with all of them.
Single-player is available, and online co-op supports two to four players. On Xbox consoles, online multiplayer requires Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate, sold separately. This is a console online requirement; it is not a Game Pass requirement for Steam co-op.
For cloud access, the game is included for streaming with Premium or Ultimate in the listed offering. Streaming with Essential requires a game purchase. Subscription catalogs and regional access can change, so check the local Xbox store before paying for the game or a plan.
The same-console multiplayer count is not confirmed here. The online two-to-four-player count does not establish couch co-op.
Nintendo Switch 2 support
This is the Nintendo Switch 2 release. Its supported play modes are TV, tabletop, and handheld, with one player on a single system and one to four online. Tabletop mode changes how you use the console; it does not add local multiplayer.
Online play requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, a Nintendo Account, and internet access. Online services are not available in every country.
The digital listing gives a 2.9 GB game file size. Check the size shown at download time if storage is tight, since updates can change the space needed.
Playing with friends on other platforms
Cross-play connects PC and the supported consoles in parties of up to four. Set Cross-Play to ON and disable PC mods when joining console friends, since enabled mods restrict PC-to-console play.
Other devices and versions
A native PS4, Xbox One, original Nintendo Switch, or mobile edition is not confirmed by the supported listings covered here. The Nintendo edition identified above is specifically Switch 2.
Native Mac and Linux editions are also not established by the Windows requirements. Steam Deck's Playable category is a separate compatibility listing, rather than confirmation of a native Linux release.
If your device relies on Remote Play or cloud access, check that service's device and regional requirements. Streaming availability and a native installation are different ways of playing, and one does not automatically establish the other.
